Swimming Pool Accident: Woman Suffers Severe Vaginal Injury
A harrowing incident unfolded recently when Sara, a 32-year-old Mississippi resident, underwent an unusual accident in her home swimming pool that led to a severe injury to her vagina. The mishap occurred while Sara was enjoying pool time, but slipped and experienced a hard impact on the edge of the pool with her pelvic region.
The force of the fall was significant enough to induce severe vaginal bleeding and extreme pain. While there were no fractures detected in the immediate X-rays, the situation necessitated medical intervention. Her gynecologist advised a surgical procedure, conducted under general anesthesia, to mend the internal injury.
Sara ended up needing 15 stitches in her vaginal wall to rectify the damage caused by the accident. She was kept under close observation for six hours in the hospital before being discharged. As she recuperates from the traumatic experience, she acknowledges the swift and efficient actions of her colleagues who helped her during this critical period.
Reliving the painful ordeal, Sara explained, "The impact was directly on my pelvic area, causing immediate and intense pain that left me in shock. The accident happened so fast that it left everyone disoriented. When I was rushed to the emergency room, my colleagues' promptness in getting me admitted was commendable."
She continued, "The unbearable pain and profuse bleeding rendered me barely able to walk. The intensity of the pain was beyond what I experienced during childbirth. But the recovery has been steady. Despite the soreness, my mobility has improved considerably."
