In a shocking incident in Sibolga, North Sumatra, Indonesia, a 28-year-old woman, identified by her initials AST, allegedly severed her boyfriend's penis in retaliation to his threat of spreading their intimate videos. The couple, who had been in a relationship for over seven months, were staying at a hotel when the gruesome act occurred.

The victim, a 28-year-old man with the initials GO, was immediately rushed to the hospital due to severe blood loss and is now in intensive care.

Sibolga Police Chief Taryono Rajarja shed light on the events leading up to the attack. According to AST's statement, the couple had arranged to meet at the hotel. When GO requested to have sex and was denied by his partner, he allegedly threatened to distribute videos of their past intimate encounters. Shortly after this exchange, as GO prepared to take a shower, AST reportedly took a knife belonging to him and carried out the violent act.

Evi Wahyuni Siregar, a receptionist at the hotel, stated that there had been no prior indication of discord or disturbance from the couple's room. He only became aware of the situation when AST approached him to seek medical assistance for her severely injured partner. Siregar shared that the woman admitted to checking in together with her boyfriend, mentioning that they were from Padang Sidempuan city and planned to leave for Nias Island.

The police have since taken AST into custody, but no charges have been filed yet. Meanwhile, GO remains in the hospital, receiving treatment for his injuries. Police Chief Taryono Rajarja confirmed that they have obtained information regarding the extent of the victim's injuries from the doctors attending to him. The police are now awaiting an opportune time to interview the victim in order to gather more details about the incident.

This harrowing event has left the local community in shock and raised concerns over the consequences of sharing intimate content without consent, a practice commonly known as revenge porn. As the case unfolds, it serves as a stark reminder of the potential repercussions of violating trust in relationships and the urgent need to address issues related to consent and privacy in the digital age.
