Love in a foreign land far from home
How many stories haven't we heard of people falling in love with someone from a distant land? Many people don't seem to find their true love in their country, years of searching lead to an empty heart because their true love is somewhere else, miles from their homeland.
A love that perhaps they will find one day by chance of a foreigner visiting or by taking a trip out to a distant land.
The reality is that it is very likely that you will meet many people while traveling, especially if you are doing it off the beaten path and taking the time to explore a foreign land and its people and culture. Once you meet someone you can achieve a deep connection with them, by exploring their world which is a new world to you entirely and it can be friendship or why not? You might even find your soulmate on the other side of the world. That is what happened to me, while exploring a foreign land, I connected with someone special. He was unique in a way that I had never felt for someone back home. A true connection occurred between us and we fell in love with each other.
Once you leave your comfort zone back home, you will feel more encouraged and open to making new friends and acquaintances. You feel more liberated to explore new activities you had never imagined, live new adventures, and even meet new people who might become friends, lovers, and even future husbands or wives.
At home, you feel like you compete with the same people over and over trying to find someone special that will bring meaning to your life. When you are in a foreign place, you feel different about yourself. Many times I felt more attractive, and sexy, especially the way I got treated. Perhaps it's part of being foreign that they see you differently and your nationality gives you a boost of sexiness.
Sometimes you feel insecure, especially when arriving at a new destination, while traveling you get a sense of easing and eventually find your rhythm. Sort of like you are going through unparalleled experiences that you can never forget. As you are so far from home, and outside your environment and everyday life what was a routine, it is normal that your whole being is alert and taking in everything you see and notice. Your senses are sharpened and therefore, the sensations intensify with a simple greeting from a stranger.
When venturing out, everything is so new and amazing to you, that your body releases that neurotransmitter called dopamine, which provides us with pleasure and impulsivity to do more than we are used to doing, so the best experiences of your life are waiting to be discovered with each step you take in a new environment.
Perhaps you should think about feeling free and spontaneous with a disregard for what others may think. Nobody knows who you are in a foreign land allowing you to become someone else, someone bolder to explore and see where life takes you. It also allows you to be more vulnerable to others when you establish a new link or emotional connection and to show more emotion to someone else.
One of the strengths and life experiences you get from couples of different backgrounds and cultures is that the enrichment goes both ways, a mutual experience of emotions, sentiments, and cultural learning. It brings in new perspectives on how we live our lives and how we relate to each other. Essentially you will always be learning something new from your new-found partner or friend.
Are there any advantages of dating a foreign individual? When you meet someone new from a foreign land and start communicating with them, you start learning a lot about the cultural differences and what makes us unique. You will also notice that people from different backgrounds and cultures have as much in common as what is the same as what makes us different. You will learn all the peculiarities of your partner's culture and you will be able to give them knowledge about your homeland. Having a real-life experience with someone from a different background makes life more interesting.
You always have something to converse about, something that surprises you with small expressions from their local area. Thanks to the fact that you have a lot of cultural differences, you're very unlikely to have boring conversations, something will always pop up. You will discover what traditions you have in common and which traditions are absolutely different or downright quirky.

I can say from my own experience a relationship with a foreigner is much more exciting thanks to its unpredictability and love should endure the test of time.
